Suit Up!

Oh, what a fun week we've had!  On Saturday, I drove to Buford, GA (just outside of Atlanta), for the initial dress fitting.  Only the underlying structure is completed, but it's a lot while being a little.  This time, I remembered to get scraps of the material so the rest of the wedding wouldn't clash terribly.  The most exciting part is that my dress is being made using the lace from my mother's wedding dress.

Because I was so close to Atlanta, I seized the opportunity to have dinner with my friends from my old Bible study.  Four of us got together, and it was wonderful to visit with the girls who used to pray for me that I could meet Brise (he didn't have a name at the time).

After a few more stops (I went to the mall to search for shoes, visited Brise's Granny, spent some time with my bridesmen, drove to Augusta for a few hours of family time), I returned to Mooresville, exhausted.  But, no rest for the wedding planner!

Yesterday, we went searching for Brise's outfit.  Gracious does he look dapper!  Not only did we choose his suit (spoiler alert: it's a light grey suit), but we also picked out the suits for the men in our wedding party (lighter grey suits).  It was really productive.  I am also envious because Men's Warehouse is the easiest place to shop.  A few measurements, a guy pulls 6-7 options, Brise looks at me, I shrug, and 2 suits later, we're just waiting for alterations to happen.  I am so ready for there to be a Woman's Warehouse.
