What

Well, we're getting married! To make it official, we're hoping all of our friends and family can make it to the celebration. We (well, Danielle) believe that weddings should be public declarations of commitment and we also are SUPER EXCITED (well, Brise, but that's his constant state of being) that everyone we know and love will have an opportunity to join us for our party. Just like each of you have positively influenced our lives, we know that each of you will positively influence our wedding

Where

When Danielle & Brise were looking for a wedding location, Danielle was insistent that it be in the South. Brise pleaded to have it on the beach. Danielle wanted mossy oaks. Brise wanted to be able to fish. Danielle wanted it to be close to her family. Brise wanted a place where Danielle would get sunburned. Having narrowed the choices to Savannah or Charleston, Brise and Danielle visited Savannah first. After a lackluster look at some various Savannah locations, Danielle decided to treat Brise to dinner at The Crab Shack on Tybee Island. When driving onto the island, Brise exclaimed, "it feels like Florida!" and Danielle knew that the island was a great compromise. Close enough to Savannah for mossy oaks and sandy enough for Brise! (It doesn't hurt that it was the first place the Matron of Honor suggested!)

Our ceremony and reception will both be at the Tybee Lite Shrine Club, with the ceremony being held on the beach. The ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M., followed by dinner and dancing.

When

Did you know that on April 25, 1938, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned federal common law in its case Erie Railroad Co. v. Tompkins? Ever since reading the case in law school, April 25 has been Danielle's favorite date!

April 25 is also the birthday of Renee Zellweger, Brise's favorite actress since his first viewing of Bridget Jones's Diary!

This remarkable coincidence made it super easy for them to pick a date and they knew right away that April 25 was the perfect date for their wedding.

Just kidding! April 25 was chosen because:

1. The weather in Tybee averages about 65°F and precipitation levels are usually about 3.15 in for all of April!

2. There were no holidays too close by.

3. It was far enough away from the St. Patty's Day festivities that occur every year in nearby Savannah!

4, It was far enough from our birthdays that we could have something personal to celebrate in the Spring.

5. Danielle figured it was a good time to be less likely to be sunburned.
